What We Do

Open Access Schedule Booking

We only book out about 4 weeks at a time, allowing us to ensure same day urgent visit access while also allowing more flexibility in scheduling well visits.

Newborn Home Visits

Your newborn needs to be seen within 1-2 days post discharge from the hospital. We offer this visit as a visit to your home so that you do not need to bring your new baby into the office so soon after arrival home.

Small Staff and Practice Size

We have a small staff so that you get to know the people with whom you speak on the telephone. We try to ensure that, whenever possible, you see your primary doctor for both well and sick visits.

Nurses Answer Your Phone Call

It is fairly unique that you often do not need to wait to speak to a nurse to get advice or figure out if your child needs to be seen that day.

Feels More Like A Home

We know coming to the doctor can be anxiety provoking for kids, so our office has less of a sterile medical office appearance while still meeting medical standards for cleanliness and medical equipment.

Doctor Available on Call After Hours

We have decided to not use an answering service or separate nursing triage line for our after hours calls so that we know you are getting the best advice possible.

We strive to care for the “whole” patient. As such, we respect the uniqueness of children as patients by acknowledging the crucial role of family and social interactions. Our doctors and nurses are trained in child development and family dynamics so that we can help parents navigate the many changes that occur during a child’s growth and development.

This practice was created to provide high quality pediatric care in a comprehensive, yet personalized manner. Our goal is to keep your children healthy from the start by focusing on wellness and preventative care rather than only treating illness.

Giving Tree Pediatrics is the evolution of the former McKenzie Pediatrics practice at the same location. Our goal is to continue to provide the same individualized care that has always been given here, while also updating our practice to today’s standards and innovations available for primary care pediatrics.
